I dont remember 1975 but its the reason my parents became jw's.
I'm curious though; in your opinion what percentage of JW's in your general age group know nothing about it?
Just on a related topic, somone who witnessed the generation change of 1995 would have to have been born about 10-15 years earlier to remember and appreciate what it meant. That person would now be 40-45 years old. Time goes too quick.

here is an example how the wts has "adjusted" scripture.
the governing body has gone as far as to change the text of micah 6:8 in their 2013 new world translation of the holy scriptures (nwt) in order to be able to demand loyalty.
After reading about 20 translations, 99% use the words justice and mercy (or kindness). I would like to see the reasoning behind how they arrived at obedience instead of mercy.

It would be hard to find a period in history where people haven't felt this.

i was doing some research on the taxable status of money being gifted to co’s and travelling missionaries and was surprised with what i found.
i had assumed that it was not taxable income in australia.. it is taxable income in australia and it‘s likely that the same rules apply in some other countries.. a registered religious institution only receives tax free status on donations because they have been endorsed by the australian tax office.
travelling overseas and missionaries are not in this category.. there’s a tax ruling that goes into great detail.

Yes - thats exactly right. At the moment its $18200.00 AUD, not really a lot.
i have been engaging in bible study with my bible study conductor for the past two years.
i am on lesson 48 of enjoy life forever book and it is only a matter of time before i complete lesson 60 which is the final lesson.
my bible study conductor informed me today that once i complete lesson 60, i won’t be receiving any more studies as i have been given all of the information that i need to make a decision.
I have also learned a lot about God and the Bible.

You have allowed a JW to indoctrinate you for the last 6 months with their own interpretation of the bible. Ask them if anything you have learned is subject to change in the future? If the answer is yes, what you have learned can't be considered truth.

did i mention increased heartbeat, reddening of the face and a strong headache associated with this guilt?.
it seems to speak about unconditional love for everything and everyone, animals, plants, people and that i should treat them with kindness and care even if they harm me.. also it seems to make me feel shivers of guilt and headaches if i have thoughts of obsession, pride or selfish ambition.
